I'm just putting together a script to do batch imports of large numbers of mines and I can't concentrate on UK regions. Could anybody help me with where I should classify the following:

Cumbria
Derbyshire
Durham
Lancashire
Leicestershire
Northumbria
Nottinghamshire
Staffordshire
Warwickshire
Yorkshire

In terms of the forum structure... North East, North West, Midlands, South East, South West

Thanks!

Thanks. I think I'm correct in putting Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire in the Midlands.

Leaving:

Derbyshire
Durham
Leicestershire (Midlands?)
Northumbria

Anybody 😉

Yorkshire actually goes right across to the East coast but doesnt reach the west coast so I think there's a more than Simon dodgy in geography 😉

Sure, but the Lead mines of Arkengarthdale & Swaledale are very definately nothing else but North West.

My geography isn't that bad Jagman

This is just for a batch import and there aren't many Yorkshire mines in the batch, so if any are in the wrong region I can clean up afterwards with the move funciton for mines, albums and photos.

Thanks for all the input.

I have the following in the midlands....

WARWICKSHIRE
LEICESTERSHIRE
STAFFORDSHIRE
WEST MIDLANDS
SHROPSHIRE
WORCESTERSHIRE
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
OXFORDSHIRE
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Some of these are already listed in the 'major mining regions'

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
