Hi there. Does anybody have a copy of 'The Keep' on DVD or video that I could borrow or get a copy of? I'm reading the book at the moment and would love to see the film. I've looked at the trailers on youtube and some of it looks as if its been filmed in Slate Mines?

Filmed just above Glynrhonwy, you can still see parts of the set - fancy nipping down there one night (it's a short ab) to take a look? I've been meaning to for ages...

The film itself was apparently so awful that you can buy it on eBay for about a penny 😉 Not actually seen it all the way through myself!

Lol! I'll have a look out for it on fleabay then. Yes I'd love a look down there. I'm working in Caernarfon on the 8th so if you're free that evening I could drive over after work?

I can't do next Wednesday, sorry, in fact pretty much all of next week is out for me. It's the DP big bash 🙂

For anyone not familiar with this film, here's a quick heads-up

PLOT: Romania, 1942, a detachment of the German Army is sent to guard a mysterious Romanian citadel located on a strategic mountain pass. When soldiers begin to be mysteriously murdered, the SS arrives to deal with what is thought to be partisan activity. What the SS finds, however, is an evil force trapped within the Keep and a force which will do anything in order to escape.

NOTE: One of the strongest aspects of this undeniably "odd" film is the fantastic soundtrack score composed by German instrumental legends Tangerine Dream. (One for Agricola there ;)

I've got a copy on my hard disc but have only ever seen part of it.

Surely can't be as bad as Cold and Dark (set in Cornwall) or Plan 9 from Outer Space...:o Definitely OMGG films. )

Have the soundtrack & the film. Think there was one alrightish track on the album but have never quite summoned the motivation to watch the film...
