This one looks a bargain (at the moment) with a few add-ones

Anybody who has not come across this camera, well, it's in use by at least Nimrod, Miles and Vanoord underground with some spectacular results... razor sharp lens, bulb mode, manual focus etc...

Not any longer... I've just pushed it up to £157 and not got anywhere :curse:

Anyone looking for a Nikon 8400, keep an eye on Amazon. They do come up from time to time. thats where I got mine. There is one on there at the moment, although the price looks high. Looking at that eBay one, I had forgotten what they looked like when they are clean & shiny :ohmygod:

There's another one on there already... My best one is still in for repair (what does that say about my spare one!). Might have a bid. Will have to see how it goes over the next few days...

Found out recently (well Vanoord did) that it's the fault of paragliders / parapenters who like them for their wide angle lens and not for the far greater purpose of the usefulness underground :curse:

Thank you! The one i use underground is an olympus 500uz. The default settings on it are wildly out, i have spent ages trying to get it right. Essentially the contrast/sharpness etc had to be wound up a bit. The factory settings produce drab colourless pics. The lens is crap too.
