Ioan, has completed the work with help from Professor David James and Simon Timberlake in order to get the geology and historical data correct. He has used the researches of Welsh Mines Society and Trust to help further with accurate grid references, , photography and information . There are some 40 mines described fully, many have colour underground and surface colour photographs with black and white historical photographs to . Ioan was not satisfied with just exploration of the mines but has used historical data , facts and details of the workers , their families and living conditions . He has gone on to interpret various sites with superb surface drawings of the mines and buildings .. .

Although not a cheap purchase this is one very good book and I highly recommend this one. I understand only 500 copies have been produced
