Well, apart from a Freelander I weighed in for scrap with 60k on the clock some years ago, I've never actually sold a Land Rover. But the time has come to move some on.
I have four Series 3 LWB Land Rovers, a 101 and a Defender that all are for sale.
Ultimately they will all go on eBay but wanted to post here first. If anyone has connections to LR forums, please repost because I'd rather they went to someone who will look after them.
In short they are:
1) Series 3 LWB Safari Station Wagon 1979: Lovely old vehicle, with solid 2.5 engine Petrol Engine from low-milage 90, modern seats including Exmoor-trim middle row. roof rack. Rocky Mountain aluminium door tops.
Been sat for 18 months, was daily driver before then, been all over the UK in it. Needs welding work and bulkhead work.
Price wanted: £1,000
2) Series 3 LWB Hard Top: Great rustic looking truck!Deliberate Patina. Big 900 Nato tyres on deep-dish LR rims. Lifted on +2 Parapolics. 2.25 engine is a bit rough, Gearbox was a bit noisy. Was daily driver until 18 months ago and parked up since. Looks like a one-ton model but isn't. Ex BT I think.
Price wanted: £1,000
3) Series 3 LWB FFR Soft Top: Ex Military, probably still has MOT on it. Generally in OK order but a little tatty. 24v electrics and defender seats.
Price wanted: £1,500
4) Extremely Rare Series 3 LWB Hicap: To my knowledge the rarest production Land Rover ever produced, very few of these around. Its a project vehicle, complete, the 2.25 Diesel was running last year. Bulkhead very good. Even has hood sticks.
Price wanted: £1,250
5) Defender 110 Station Wagon 300tdi: Solid ex-police defender but parked up due to damage from low-speed argument with an overhanging wall. Damaged wing, roof panel, door and windscreen. Was daily driver until last week. Good Defender, but needs body work doing to put back on road. Chassis pretty good, as is 300tdi engine, gearbox, axles etc. Has an air-brake tank fitted.
Price wanted: £1,000
Land Rover 101 General Service
A special custom job, on road and in regular service but no longer needed. Painted in gloss black with black mohair canvas hood, repowered by 300tdi engine which gives very good reliability and economy. Rocky Mountain Aluminium Door Tops. Over £20k spent, but open to offers around £8k.
...If you like Land Rovers, and want to take any of these on let me know. For clarity, they are all "projects", and with the exception of the FFR and 101, they will need re-commissioning and work before you can be driving around in them.
