I couldn't resist posting this... on my recent visit to Groverake it appears the local birds have have realised that they are surfaces creatures and have nested accordingly... 🙂
One bird, a certain Mr Featherstone (I know ::)) even having plated his nest so as to avoid anyone stealing it!!!

Lovely set of photos.
Its rather a pity though that the human visitors couldn't be as tidy as the avian...

I found the place trashed... very sad... It's an interesting place and without my friendly cows, would have been very eerie indeed. (I had six cows at one point all wanting a fuss... never seen such friendly cows, I wonder if they are used to people on site as they were that friendly)

Wish I could have seen it first hand before the idiots really got a grip of the site..
