To save the cost of getting it back to Starless River a friend of mine has a size XL Warmbac Oversuit for sale at a bargain price of a whole 0% off the list price of £70.
Only used for trying out for size hence the lamentable discount.
Suit is currently resident just outside of Consett, County Durham so would be a good idea for someone in the North East or likely to be up at the Nent in the near future.

I have an XL AV Titan. It would fit you perfectly were you built like Giant Haystacks!

The sizing of caving oversuits seems wholly random.

Look it's an oversuit that can be picked up and tried on in the North East without the postage costs or having to drive to Richmond or wherever.
I'm going to be going down to Starless River in a few weeks so it will go back then but in the meantime it's available.
It's up as a small ad rather than a discussion on how much you prefer other products. If I'd wanted that I would have started a which oversuit do you prefer thread...

The conversation is hardly spurious.

Anyone thinking of buying should be aware that Warmbac sizes are a law unto themselves.

I've had a XL+ that was a perfect fit and an XL+ that resembled a tent and had to be returned.

Is there any indication if the original buyer though it was too big or too small compared to the listed sizes on the website ?

The original prospective buyer tried the XL & an XL+ (already sold) and neither fitted how they wanted.
It is still Starless River stock - generously lent to allow trying on - and will go back at some point but for the time being is we are offering it for sale on behalf of SR to save people the hassle of getting to Richmond to try it on.

And your point is? Buying clothing without trying it on is always a risk, plenty of manufacturers have strange ideas about size. Italian cycling gear is a good case in point, a friend who normally has a medium t-shirt as a baggy fit ended up with an XL cycling jersey!

This suit is new, if someone in the North East, or who may be up in the near future who thinks they may fit a Warmbac XL oversuit (check their website for fit guidelines) and would like to try it give us a shout. If you aren't then this ad isn't much use to you, unless you already have a Warmbac XL oversuit and you would like another one - no guarantees that it is the same size of course.
