To cut through all the other threads about the North Wales weekend, here's a recap of any info you might need to know.

Friday:

Cwmorthin Lost World & Upper Floors

Meet up at 9.30 at the Lakeside cafe for breakfast if that suits. Should mean we're ready to go underground at a leisurely(ish) 10.30.

SRT kit required!

PM: Barbeque at camp site courtesy of Mr Vanoord. I believe the plan is everybody chips in some money and he'll buy all the food, but bring your own drink.

Saturday:

Bryn Eglwys Slate Mine

Meet up 10:00 here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=abergynolwyn&hl=en&ll=52.63945,-3.965399&spn=0.002175,0.006856&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=23.345009,56.162109&radius=15000&t=h&z=17

It's the station car park for the Tal y Llyn railway and is probably the easiest to location on that road.

Saturday's trip is going to involve floundering around looking for entrances, some deep water, and possibly some very deep water and a long abseil if you really want to do it

Bryn Eglwys is the largest slate mine outside of Blaenau.

SRT kit required.

Wet suit - up to you if you're going for the deeper than waist deep watery sections. But it'll be a loooong day for walking about in rubber suits...

PM: Curry house in Machynlleth, or pub grub or whatever people want (curry house in Llanberis is very good you see so might be having a curry after Sunday's trip)

Sunday:

Dinorwic slate quarry

Doesn't really require any introduction.

Bring harness and a torch.

More lesiurely start on Sunday? 11.00am?

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=llanberis&hl=en&ll=53.128092,-4.108361&spn=0.00215,0.006856&sll=-90,-50.625&sspn=45.899052,178.59375&t=h&z=17

It's the turning round area for the buses, usually plenty of parking.

Or, could take a quick trip to the slate museum first then up to the quarry itself?

PM: Eatery in Llanberis to suit (not that there's masses of choice, but there's a good curry house...)

Camping

Booked 7 pitches Friday night, 8 pitches Saturday night. But if more people need pitches (or less) I don't think it's going to be a problem. Just work it out of the day.

The full list of people coming for 1 or more days I think is:

davel
hymac580c
jcam
jones the slate
joydivisionovengloves
lab rat
NewStuff
NigelH
Owt
RichardLevett
RJV
RockChick
simonrl
sinker
skimble
Bri Hache
Vanoord

I know not all those people are coming for all of the days. I've PM-ed a few to see if they're still coming.

But basically, if you're coming for the 3 days see you on Friday at the lakeside cafe.

And if you're coming for 1 or 2 days see you either at the camp site or one of the meetup places.

It would be quite handy if everybody on that list, please 😉, could PM which day(s) they're coming so we know to wait if you're late or anything :flowers:

At least pretend something bad happened so I don't feel so bad about missing out.

Did 'accidentally' find about half a dozen mines on my non-underground weekend away with the missus though.
