Details: The Big Meet 2011
Come along and join us at the only UK annual meeting for
miners’ lamp collectors at Pleasley Colliery on Saturday 11th
June.

Bring your lamps to identify and compare, to sell or
swap. The theme is “the lamps of William Best” and there will
be many on display - bring yours! Entry is still only £5!
This is a heritage mining site with the headgears and
buildings having recently restored at great cost by English
Heritage. There is plenty to see as well as lamps! Facilities
on site include toilets and canteen. There is
plenty of car parking. Stewards will be on duty on the
day - please park as instructed. A limited number of tables
are available (if you want to sell) at £20 each. Each
table includes two free tickets for entry. A limited
number of commemorative booklets have again been
produced and will be available on the day - first
come/first served.

The organisers will be having a meal on the Friday
night after setting up at Pleasley. We would be
pleased if you could join us; partners and friends are
also welcome.

Pleasley Colliery is easily reached from M1, Junction
29. The postcode is NG19 7PH.
