Hello,

As the Warcop MOD ranges are open next weekend, I was thinking of paying a return visit to the Hilton/Murton lead mines for the first time since a MOLES trip many years ago.

I clearly remember us going underground into some superb flats, in what I'm convinced was Hardshin's Level. As it has been some time, which levels can still be 'quietly' accessed there now.

I also went to Dufton Mines on another MOLES trip, and we went into at least 3 different levels, one of which contained a coal seam and natural fissures. What can still be 'quietly' entered there?

hi Hardshinxs level is still open, and gives access to the respective, baryte, flats. by going doswn a internal shaft, you can also access Curly level, well worth a visit!

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
