AditNow is moving home next week...

I'm moving all my web sites to a new dedicated server provider, one who actually understands that 'support' isn't simply a word between 'supply' and 'suppose' in the dictionary.

The site will continue 100% as normal over the weekend; then on Monday morning all admin functions (photo uploads, add a mine etc.) will be disabled on the old server whilst the complete data is transferred to the new server. The site is already on the new server running correctly, so it's just a case of copying the latest files across, and then switching it over to the new setup.

Will update this thread early next week with progress.

There's going to be a slight delay on this, I'm still testng and tweaking a few things on the new server setup.

Transfer is likely to be Wednesday night now.

In the mean time it's business as usual (photo uploads etc. won't be disabled until the server transfer is ready)

The server move is now in progress.

I have disabled photo uploads (and adding / editing mines). If you try to access any of these pages you will temporarily see an error message.

Why? Well there's about 50Gb of data to transfer so I want to be sure I don't leave any behind!

The forum will run completely as normal during the whole transfer process.

I expect the site to be up and running on the new server and accepting photo uploads again by around midday on Wednesday.

The data is now transferring over to the new server :)

I anticipate being able to update the domain records tonight, so by tomorrow you should be seeing the site on the new server (this new ISP will be it's permanent home), with all photo uploads etc. working again :flowers:

All the data is transferred to the new site!

Have set the domain update in progress. So within around 12 to 24 hours you should be seeing the site on the new server.

The server move is now completed :)

If you're seeing a box containing some red text on the home page then you're seeing the new site on the new server.

If you're not seeing this then your internet provider hasn't noticed the transfer yet, but should do by the end of the day.

If you're seeing the red text on the home page then the site is fully functional for you again and you can uploads photos etc. again :flowers:
