Noticed in a message on another thread somebody saying that image upload is very slow... Is this something people find?

Or is it a more general comment that image uploads of large photographs are slow anyway (due to broadband upload speed) rather than slow specifically to this site?

If just slow to this site then it's something I need to look at.

There is however the recently completed batch image upload, where you can select 1 to 20 photos to upload to the same album. Set uploading and forget :)

I've never noticed that it's slow - although I tend to resize everything to 1200x800 before uploading.

I'd imagine that most upload constraints are caused by the upload capacity of the user's internet connection, particularly if it's a big file?

I've got one set of pics to upload when I've fettled them and I'll report back with some upload speeds.

EDIT: cancel that thought, it looks like I've accidentally deleted the whole lot 😞

Its super quick for me, i did a batch upload of 6(?) pics t'other day and it took a matter of moments :thumbsup:

I have noticed that uploads are noticeable slower in the early evening, but that is not limited to this site and may have something to do with increased web use at that time ?
In general I think the pics upload fine, but they always do need resizing before uploading.

Not at all 🙂

The site does it for you during upload, but if your pics are at 8MP and 100% quality at time of upload you will find it a bit slow.
