Calling EJW...

What was the make and model of that nifty little yellow video camera you were using in Cwmorthin the other weekend?

Have just got around to looking at the video links you posted and was well impressed with the light. I've tried two helmet cams before now but the cheaper ones are CMOS sensors and they don't like low light level.

Were they lit with your headtorch or that Lupine lamp?

I'm fairly sure it was a Vivitar DVR850, and they were lit with Betty, the headmounted creator of much Lumens.

Yep It's a Vivtar DVR850 and they are lit by Betty the insane helmet lamp.

I was impressed with that Betty. For it's size it's an incredible output. And Lupine's build quality is right up there.

I hope you have deep pockets... I want one, but I need a new job (or 3) to get one... 😉

Thanks chaps. It seems to cope with low light levels quite well (ok, lit by the Tesla (I think it's a Tesla isn't it?) is not exactly low light) but definitely seems to work better than the helmet cams I've tried.

Have had a look at the tech specs on vivitar's web site but can't find out if it's CMOS or CCCD based. Which would largely determine how it does behave in low light.

I think EWJ said it was about £70, and at that pricepoint, I would suggest it's CMOS.

I think the video wading through the water was lit by Betty, but Tesla is correct for the handheld Lumen Monster.
