Has anybody tried one of these Lumix TZ3 cameras underground yet?

They seem to have some good specs, like wide angle lens 35mm equiv of 28-280,
exposure settings for night sky shooting, up to 1min exp.

They have now come down in price from £250 to around £120.

I am currently using a Nikon 5700 but finding it bulky especially with wide angle lens converter fitted. Also I find it eats batteries .I am trying to cut down on my carried kit. As some mines I visit have difficult access.

The Lumix also has a 3inch lcd and is small enough for a pocket or very small waterproof bag.

Any thoughts?

The management thanks you for your co operation.
