Surfing for details of Reefton today I chanced upon one or two very nice photos of the area - worth a quick look in a quiet moment:

Very nice Pics.
The engine house does not look all that Cornish, its more like a house for a verticle winding engine.
The boiler appears to be a Babcock & Wilcox "Two Drum WIF". many were supplied to the "Colony's until the early 1970's
