Given my enchrenched achophobia I would be right down the job centre in this position. The logistics behind many early US mines is quite amazing, As it was in the UK of course. Although you can't compare mines in the UK with the the US for obvious reasons are there any any that can that come close..

The ones in Death Valley and surroundings amaze me: how they managed to work in the heat of summers I have no idea - and if we think of anywhere in the UK as being 'remote', we're a long, long way short of the mark!
