Lucky Mr Portillo gets an underground tour of Europes largest Zinc mine. Well worth watching.

The guy, Joe Rice, who took Portillo underground retired in January, his last shift was the 11th. I think he had worked there 30+ years

You would have to go a long way to find a nicer guy than Joe, He and others in his department took me underground on a visit back in 2006, a real star.
If it can't be grown it has to be mined.

Joe is still involved as a consultant on an ad hoc basis
