Take a look at the National Library of Scotland maps -

http://maps.nls.uk/os/25inch-england-and-wales/index.html

There's a nice section showing the mine there...

Have tried the British Newspaper Archive... nothing in there

https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/

There is info that can be found on the Internet, but I expect you already have that.

Hi. This mine is mentioned in the 'Memoirs of the Geological Survey. Special Report on the Mineral Resources of Great Britain. VolXVIII The Lead, Zinc, Copper and Nickel Ores of Scotland 1921. Page 104. It also comes up on the 'Canmore' site ID No 1295304, and may show up on Google Earth at Map Ref NN707395. It sometimes comes up with the spelling-Ardtalanaig-notice the extra a.
For family history in Scotland the achieve in West Register House in Edinburgh is a good place to start, sorry I do not know it's web address
Hope this info is helpful. Jeremy. PS for maps look up the BGS Non- coal maps, put in the county, Perth and Kinross, your more likely to get a hit but may nee to search a bit more if it does not come up on the mine name.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
