I was wondering if anyone new the conditions of formation for the Foss barytes deposit. From the limited info I got through google it seems to be a bedded baryte deposit so my guess is underwater exhalative.

If anyone could point me into a book or paper I would be grateful.

Thanks

www.bgs.ac.uk/downloads/start.cfm?id=1321 confirms a sedimentary exhalative origin into an oceanic basin for the Aberfeldy deposit in which Foss Mine is situated.
