is this the most remote mine on the UK mainland ? Quite a treck from the nearest road. I dont suppose anyone has been there have they ?

Yeah, get the ferry to Inverie and walk from there, its still a long walk though. Not alot to see when you get there, an old compressor in the remains of a small building and a few bits of mica lying around the exposure of the pegmatite vein. Nice scenery though.
