Rhondda Leader, Thursday 13 October page 7.

Half page article with colour photo. “Historic winding house could be open to the public”.

The council have leased the site to the Great Western Colliery Preservation Trust who hope to open the site to the general public.

Hi, ive visited the old pit which has open days, now and then, took some pictures of winding engine which now runs on compressed air ( it was steam ), really worth a visit

There is usually someone working there every Sunday [tomorrow] from 2.00 pm on. Well worth a visit.
