Found this a couple of days ago in South Wales. It's just up the road from Marine Colliery. The NGR is SO 17979 06466 and can clearly be seen on Google Earth

Anybody any idea what this might have been?

Thanks

Is that an aerial mast, front left corner, if so could be for telemetry so probably water or electric company related 😉

Think the aerial has been tacked on recently. The building itself is well disused.
The shape of the doors led me to believe it could have housed boilers, but it just has that "colliery feel" about it. Just below it in the valley was the Waun Lwyd Colliery. I'll ask some of the locals next time I'm down there. Thanks for your help.

Think I found it at NGR: SO 18215 05925!

Streetview shows the front and rear elevations and also gives a better view of an apparent extension to the building in a different brick.

The sign on the door is not too clear but appears to be electricity related.

I wonder if it was ever more than a substation as it looks the sort of building that may once have had a pitched roof?
