After a few rather scary trips, here is a 3D model of the route made from lidar data and Google imagery (still fuzzy on some areas). Unfortunately sketchfab has a filesize limit so I had to severely reduce the quality of the 3D model. Worth a look anyway!

Very interesting model.

We spent several Easters in and around there in the early 1990's can only find a couple of photos and they were of the kids running around an incline.

The bit you call Mordor, was that area also used in Willow, I recall being told the quarry was used for some scenes in the film?

The traditional name given to that area by the quarrymen is Ponc Dyffryn I think. Mordor being a recent term adopted by yuppy climbers, and as well as others has found its way onto open maps.

Theres a print of a plan showing all the proper level names at the Joe Brown shop in Llanberis. The plan was made by one of the quarry worker’s in the days when aerial photographs, paper and typewriters were the only things available. And there’s a drive by local climbers to use the quarry given names now.

Is this the same plan as that reproduced on page 10 of Douglas C. Carrington's book Delving in Dinorwig ?

I can’t recall Dave. I recognise the names you list as those for the larger zones. Here’s a capture of the print. I’ve intentionally reduced the quality as I’m not sure over any copyright.

In terms of the names of the various levels and galleries at Dinorwic, I found this to be really useful:
