Hi everyone,

Myself and a friend are wanting to do the through trip in about a fortnight, I was wondering if anyone had been down recently and seen the state of the in situ hardware and if there had been any collapses?

Any advice on this mine or any up to date surveys would be greatly appreciated or if anyone would be willing to show me and my friend the route (we are both SRT trained and have experience) that would be really greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone! πŸ˜ƒ

In-situ kit was in decent enough nick in February.
There are plenty of route descriptions online. The trip is fairly straightforward though.
Enjoy it!

I can't help you with the trip but there was a big chunk of roof just about holding on, on the incline.

That is one BIG chunk held up by what looks like nothing :blink: At least it shouldn't block the incline when it comes down, just don't be under it :thumbsup:

that is awesome, thanks everyone! I was a little bit nervous about the nav but I've found some surveys that seem pretty clear cut with the route. Thanks for the update on the in situ gear!
I'll keep an eye out for that chunk hanging from the ceiling :)

Thanks! πŸ˜ƒ

Been years since I did this, and not planning to go back anytime soon. Is this the incline before the first abseil? If so is there another route around to rejoin the route later?

It will only drop on side of the incline as it is now but if it were blocked I assume the big shaft at the top would become the preferred way in. If you want a more interesting route you could always rig a rope and climb out of a boat in Chamber 1W

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
