Cumbria CC have sold the Rampgill workshops buildings to a new owner. the boundary of the site is the outer walls of the buildings and the yards, and a small wedge of land at the rear of the old cafe building(excluding Rampgill Level).

There is a right of access from the Byway to the North gates of the yard.

It would be helpful and neighbourly if we could leave a clear access route to the gates.

Thanks

Peter I am guessing that this might be the market gardener, that Nick, Robert & I met up on site a couple of months ago?
He seemed a nice chap, complained that C.C.C. had not taken either his offer for the place seriously, nor for that matter the nature of his potential business.
We all advised him to re-apply

It is indeed he.

It will be nice to have the buildings being used again rather than gently decaying.
Don't look so embarrassed, it's a family trait...

Thanks for the information guys.
As you said Nick, hopefully the guy willl succeed and as it is in his interest to keep the buildings in a good state of repair it should be good news.
I just hope that no one shows any 'negative' attitudes to his business from the mining fraternity.
As I often stated on this site, it is easy to make enemies of mine exploration, than it is to make friends.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
