There are still places available at the SRT training Course to be held on Saturday 24th September 2016 at Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre, Capel Curig.

The course will run from 10am - 4pm and will be cover all aspects of SRT. Attendees should provide their own SRT kit, but there should be one or two spare sets available. The cost of the course will be £20, Cambrian Caving Council will be subsidising the event. Even experienced ropework technicians are likely to learn new skills and pick up useful tips ::)

I've pencilled myself in. Having already taken advantage of these training sessions twice before, I don't want to hog a space if someone else needs it. But if there's room, I'm sure I'll find it as useful and enjoyable as the previous ones.

Many thanks to Rich and the CCC team for running the course today. You can read up on SRT all you want but without the expert tuition we had today, it would be easy to come unstuck!

Good to meet up with AN Thursday Nighters, my colleague from PUG and others of like mind. Good time had by all and all the safer for it!

wow, what a great day that was.

Can't thank everyone involved enough.

learnt lots of new things, had my kit critiqued by an expert.

I can highly recommend anyone who wishes to do SRT go on one of these courses.

Thanks to everyone who put on the course! Had an awesome time, and came back very sore afterwards, but well worth it and learnt a hell of a lot! The difficulty will be remembering it all! Thanks guys 🙂 :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
