Is it almost September already? :o
A decision has been arrived at and its Catherine and Jane copper mine! A fairly easy going place. Some light SRT involved but nothing too scary!
Well worth a look, the insitu pump rods are quite special.
Dont be afraid, come along and join in!

At the usual time of 6:15 (ish)
SRT kit required, but if you dont have it but wish to try i'm sure we could cobble together something! Its not a tough pitch (this is coming from me! So it must be easy!)

If we want to go down to the ochre in the bottom level I think we'll need the bolting kit.

There were bolts in situ (10 mm) but only one hanger on the winze in the 'smithy level' when I was there last (in 2009), so it would probably be a good idea to at least take a couple of hangers and nuts.
Has anyone been there more recently?

Willy Eckerslyke, Blober & myself looked at those bolts on a Thursday Night trip about a year ago & in all honesty they didn't look too inviting  Perhaps it's time for an upgrade 🙂

Assuming they are the same ones they looked fairly new and shiny when Skimble and I used them in 2009.
It would be interesting to see how they have degraded.
