It's time to come clean as I've had countless PMs asking what happened....
Bad accident as you can see, rushing home from a Thursday night trip to Pantywrach! No other cars involved. Did this all on my own ;)

Result:
Written off car
2 broken vertebrae in my back
3 broken ribs
broken nose
bashed up knee
a week in hospital (Bangor & Stoke)
3 weeks off work
8 weeks in a back brace
No climbing until November

Ouch!!

Whenever there's any talk of mine-exploring being dangerous, someone always points out you've got more chance of being injured on the way home than underground...

Glad that it wasn't any worse, hope all is well. I'm back in North Wales as of now so I need some mine explorers to make me fear for their/my/our lives

Im told you should see the 'the other guy'.... Nothing!.... Not a mark!.. Didn't flinch!.. Mind you, rumours have it, 'he' was massive... Not to be messed with, even by a Thursday nighter of Sinkers stature! 😞

Word of advice--Make sure your spine is solid before using it --
I didn't, now I'm a wreck.

Always remember, nature is in charge, get it wrong and it is you who suffers!.

Sorry to hear about your crash, and especially your injuries. I would suggest that you heal fully before you get too active.

Glad that you are going to be OK.

What did you hit?
Cutting coal in my spare time.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
