I was perusing through flickr and one of my contacts had posted about an interesting sounding new book just published.

"Local historian Peredur Hughes of Porthmadog has written an excellent book about local foundries in North West Wales. It is available from February 14 2015 at Browsers Bookshop, W.H.H.R.of Porthmadog. Inigo Jones of Groeslon, Hen bost Blaenau Ffestiniog, Palas Print Caernarfon and the National slate Museum Llanberis."

Sounds an interesting read!

The book is being launched at the Welsh Slate Museum, Llanberis at 13:00, Thursday 19th February. That is the first day of the Annual Model Railway Exhibition as well.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
