There is a Hendre Quarry at Glyn Ceiriog that worked a large intrusion of altered dolerite - it's quite an impressive sight with some high faces although heavily overgrown in places.

It's my friends house.it would be a great playground for someone.one of the caves has a climbing wall and did have crash mats on the floor. The other cavern is great for camping and I've spent many a happy evening sleeping in there with candles around the place.so get your hands in your pocket people.;)

Just a word of warning on this.
Re fires or cooking stoves.
Hot air rises and can dislodge material from a roof, and if the roof is high it can be fatal.

This describes the issue and consequences fairly well:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5114591/Teenager-killed-on-camping-trip-after-cave-collapse-is-named.html

Seriously everybody, yes, I know lighting fires can bring the roof down. I'm not convinced a tea light can 😉 And Meaty knows what he's doing!!
