Accidentally caught this today - 'Open Country' on Radio4. Talks about re-use of Slate Quarries, featuring 'Bounce Below' the Lleanberis Museum and Dorothea. Also some pictures of Dorothea on the web page.

Presenter did not know the difference between a mine and a quarry.

30 mins, available for at least a year.

Open Country is on the Light Programme!! Sometimes repeated on the BBC Empire Service.

Memo to self - must take the accumulator down to the shop to get it charged. Hilversum and Minsk transmitters are a bit feint of late.
Who threw the overalls in Mrs Murphy''s Chowder ??

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
