Hey! Briefly mentioned this on another post. I went through A levels a few years ago, there is now something available called an extended project, which wasn't around two years ago. So, can be anything, my plan being to write about the structure of a Welsh slate mine, how it was worked, the geology, including veins of slate, faults/areas of weakness etc.
I'm mostly into the vertical chambered mines, I feel weirdly spiritually awakened by the size and beauty of them. Writing a project, to be posted online about Aberllefenni, using old pics probably isnt a good idea knowing how sensitive the place is now. So maybe Abercorris or some other vertical chambered mine.
Either that or the untopping work at Blaenau. Again, sensitive places, but a project on how the Foty pit is basically sliding in on itself would be interesting, and perhaps help people understand what's actually happening there is fascinating geolotical terms. Anyhow, I could really do with some help on this, not nearly as aquainted with Welsh slate mines as many people on here. Btw, I used to be LAP on this site
Cheers
