Final assualt on that elusive (impossible to get out of a dinghy without it bursting) final chamber in Diffwys :thumbsup:

6.30 in central Blaenau suit?

Do we make it an SRT trip and short swim? Or man up and swim all the way. I know where my vote goes - and it doesn't involve carrying rope and SRT gear up there :lol:

Who's in? Llion? Sinker? Carlin? Owain? Anyone else?

I vote to swim it all the way. Wetsuit, snorkel, mask, dive torch.....job done :thumbsup:
I have a few dry-sacs to carry cameras etc, or we recover one of the Rachaels to carry the kit in if needed?

I've just read back what I've written.....to anyone who doesn't know what we are on about it must sound like some kind of surreal mass-suicide trip......! If we pull this off and get out in one piece, no one can ever say MTFU again :lol:

Will be 3 or 4 shortish (20m swims) however I wouldn't even contemplate it without a wetsuit. Deep water in slate chambers is pretty cold 😮

I'll have to see how work goes but I vote for swim, Err, Willy, I'll be in a dry suit if I go.

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

Assuming the dry bits are worth a look, I may as well come along anyway. I can always mooch about taking photos.

Yes it's worth a look :thumbsup:
You can come in through the lower adit, mooch around the flooded chambers, talk to the frog that lives at the top of the flooded incline and take a walk up to the upper adit.

I'll be bringing a pump so can have a go at getting the boat afloat. Anyone got any decent sticky tape with a chance of keeping the air in?

Nope can't make it, Repairing the digital read out on the mill wasn't on my to do list but is now unfortunatly 😞

Oh yes! Nice swim actually, 4 chambers. No casualties apart from one broken buckle on a dry-sac and one lost flipper ::)

Some biggish chambers on the other side, untouched for many a year. Simonrl and Willy took plenty of photos :thumbup:

Worst part of the evening was going to the Queens for half a Guinness after and finding out that they were closing for refurb, all beer reduced and "everything must go!" Bloody typical, we were all driving so we couldn't take advantage of this once in a lifetime offer! :curse:
