A slight change of pace this week....no dropping unknown depths into bad air and dicing with certain death beneath hudreds of tons of spoil 😮 Maybe next time!
This week we are having a wander around the Glyn Rhonwy area of Llanberis. Hope the Blaenau Faithfull can still join us....Llion? Corin? Hymac?
As always, all are welcome. Carlin? Rockchick? The Eastern Division? :thumbsup:

Bring SRT kit just in case...you never know what we may find, but for those just wanting a gentle wander then there is still plenty to see.

I was looking forward to iffy roofs, bad area and drops - oh well.

Will aim for Pete's Eats at 17:15.

Interesting change. Will bring SRT :)

Could play Fri, Monday or Tues - wild camping weekend 😉 .

Ahhh....Moelwyn....I have a plan....we will return there in a couple of weeks time, when the evenings are lighter so that we can drop the shaft AND complete the remaining surface exploration in daylight. :thumbup:

Let me know when you're around and we'll do it. I think that there are a few others who would like to make the trip too :thumbup:

I'll try to come along. It'll be nice to meet you guys, I take it you're easily recognisable?
I had a guided tour around the site in the early nineties when it was being considered for the "Living World" theme park - lots of big ideas and an expensive feasibility study, but it was pipped to the post by the Eden Project.

and if it's raining there's a good chance we'll already be wearing hard hats with lamps bolted on.

I have been to Llanberis this morning for work and it is ABSOLUTELY lashing down so if anyone wants to give it a miss tonight I'd understand, as most of the trip will be surface exploration 😞

The Met Office forecast doesn't look too promising. 😞 I must admit it's the sort of weather when I'd rather be either at home in front of the fire or a long way underground.

Current cloud base in Port is about 300 feet, can't even see the tops of Tremadog rocks, having second thoughts, can we find a nice dry hole?

Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

Not bothered about the little rain 😉 but just come from hospital with my gangrenous finger...wont be out to play tonight as its badly infected 😞 Plus side is im off work, down side is i cant do anything :thumbdown:

Ok I think the general consensus is to give it a miss this week... 😞
I will re-schedule it for next Thursday evening, the 17th, and will also prepare a back-up plan (underground 😉 ) in the same area in case the weather isn't suitable for surface exploration :thumbup:

Anyone fancy a trip down catherine & jane, a drop Llion & I found 2 thursdays previous. SRT a requirement (gentle slope) but a fair drop. 6-6:30 at Rhyd car park on the B4410.

This is for Monday 14th :)

Will be wild camping Sat & Sun so I will pick this up Sun night.

Have rope & bits needed 😉
