I paid Prince Edward a visit today (the mine, not the person :lol: ) In the furthest reaches of the mine past the windlass I looked up (on my second passing :bored: ) & noticed this;

It's not shown on any of the plans i've seen & havent found any other photos so far!...
The top is covered with heavy timber with a hole one side & what looks like a substantial metal plate. Has anyone been up there or know where it leads??

It's a small raise. It was worked in the 1960's I think by a local having a quick look at the vein higher up.
Gold is where you find it
