Routh Level is short distance east of those kiln, look for some rocks covering the entrance at the head of the waste tip

Was in there a couple of months ago and it was sumped to the roof a couple of hundred meters in behind a small collapse (wasn't like that a couple of years ago, was bone dry and you could get all the way to the end)

Fox Level is on the south bank about 250m upstream, again look for a waste tip and then some stones with a barrel underneath at the head of the tip. On the right of the photo basically.

If you take a digging tool with you, you should be able to cut a slot down the side of the small collapse and release the water, I got about 6ft with my bare hands before I wore holes in all the fingers of my gloves.

Or it might have gone down anyway with the lack of rain recently.

Where will the water go? From memory it's not draining out of the entrance, so just naturally find it's way out through fissures?

Yes, there must be some natural drainage through the limestone somewhere as it doesn't come out of the adit as you say.

Although given the weather we had last night, if the water level was down I suspect it no longer is.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
