With Gwynfynydd being in the news recently with the withdrawl of the planning application I was looking on the web for information on the mine and came across this:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northwest/sites/dolgellau/pages/gold.shtml

Contains videos, one from 1983 of opening a new gold seam and one from 1999 when the mine closed.

I can't play them though - do they work for anybody else? :flowers:

I can replay both clips Simon. (Linux Mint 6 MPlayer plugin for Firefox 3.8 Windows media stream).
Both are interesting (if rather short). Thanks for posting.

I was offered a choice of Realplayer or Windows Media and chose Windows Media (I'm not keen on Windows but Real Player ??!! :guns: )

Anyway hope it works for you. (Don't forget to untick all the adware options)

It's amazing how the facts are bent and how little the presenters know of what they are talking about.
