I have just heard from a contact in Blaenau that Oakeley is going to close totally. I don't know any more at this stage. Does anyone else have any more info?

Nothing on any of the usual online news sites John. I guess it's not been made public yet. Fingers crossed it isn't true or doesn't happen.

I was told subsequently that it appeared in the Daily Post, but I cannot find mention of it on their website.

Had a look around but can't find anything either.

Did stumble across this article about Parys copper mine and the new development under the Australian (almost) owners - didn't seem to be reported anywhere else.
