It has been bought to our attention that many of you that are visiting Cwmorthin that own 4x4's are using them to drive up to the mine itself! The land beyond the gate in the car park is private property! And has no legal right of way for motor vehicles, and is against the law to do so! As well as this it also upsets the many landowners that own land up at Cwmorthin and surrounding it. There for jeopardising access agreements we have in place. We would like to kindly ask you not to drive any further than the car park and respected that it is not your right of way.

how do people drive to Croesor ?
If they are driving past the entrance to Cwmorthin you might want to put this on ukcaving as well as i noticed a video from there showed they had driven to the entrance!

The "road?" access to Croesor is via Croesor village.

Croeser ii not the concern at the moment, the road upto Cwmorthin (and by extension the track up toward Conlog and Rosydd) are the problem.
The owners of the land have expressed concern at the amount of vehicles travelling up there. The original agreement was for vehicles taking materials and equipment up for repair works at Cwmorthin and thats all.
Will add a request to UKCaving, thanks for the tip 😉
