First worked in the 18th Century and in 1880 became part of nearby Braich Goch Quarry. Something of a hotchpotch as levels from early workings did not coincide. Working was in the narrow vein which dipped in two directions as it is folded in the area making a V shape.
The two mines combined were taken over in 1962 by the Lloyd Brothers who also own Aberllefenni and closed in 1970.
Not sure if there's anything unusual about it apart from maybe the fact that the vein dips in two directions.
