Hello,

I’m staying need Wells for a few days with friends who are off caving in the Mendips, but I was looking to do some mine visits - if anyone has any recommendations, they would be very much appreciated (I’m from Yorkshire so I’m totally unfamiliar with the area, hence I thought it prudent to try and get some up to date local insight!).

Willing to drive around an hour or so from Wells - I had been initially thinking maybe stone mines would be good to get a sense of regional working - are Browns or Swan worthwhile trips considering I don’t get down this way often?

Thanks ever so much,
AP
