Anyone passing through Holmbush near St. Austell will have noticed the inevitable march of progress with yet more houses being built for locals or 'up country' types perhaps. There's however a single shaft on gently rising ground on the south side of the road adjoining the entrance to the cuddra gardens. Does anyone know if this is walkers or tickell's shaft.? Soon it will be obliterated and further mining evidence from this district removed forever. 😞

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
