I need some help and hope someone on the forum /web site can help me.

I am trying to contact Mr Frank Shepherd or the current owner / manager of Rotherhope mine and surrounding land.
I am trying to obtain consent for a group of Explorer Scouts doing their Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition which will require access the land around the mine en route to Black Burn / Ousby Fell area.

If anyone can help me with a telephone number of email address - it would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Old thread revival alert...

Am wondering about a visit here tomorrow. I notice a lot of the area is open access, but the area near the river where, presumably processing took place isn't. Anyone know what access is like here? Informal, or should I call in somewhere first for permission?

And secondly, is it worth a look round ?
