The view down the shaft is interesting in that it predates a collapse of the timberwork seen which blocked the adit.

Further movement necessitated consolidation of the ground by pumping grout down into the workings which made a fine mess looking down the shaft.

On the second photo the slight depression between camera and shaft is the point of the run where the grout was pumped down.
