Hi, This point of ownership of said property. I was once working for a company who was looking at opening the "Cligger Head Mine" in Cornwall, and being that the company/owner/mine operator. The company "HAD" to be responsible for "ALL" aspects affecting that mine/property!. This came to light in an example where a " ROCK BUNNY" decided to go for a walk around the 'Cligger Head' mine, by by-passing several locked gates!!, the said person/persons entered a section of the mine by climbing through an open stope, on a ledge about 4" wide on the footwall side. The said person made it to the other side of this stope where he found a very, very old wooden box! yes you got it!!, he found three sticks of explosives left behind about a 100+ years ago. After making it back to the surface, the said person contacted the police, who then contacted the B----- squad who after contacting the then mine operator, told the mine operator that they would be thjere in 8hrs to remove the explosives and destroy them. The 'BS' guys did arrive at the mine after about 10 hrs, and then proceeded to set up to destroy the explosives, When they asked "where" are the explosives??. they were told in the mine!!. the guy in charge of the 'B.S' said well go and get them!!, it's your responsiblty to bring them to us to destroy!1, and in that I had to enter the mine, through the open stope and bring the three sticks of explosive to the surface for the " B.S." guys to put 3 sticks of C4 on them and blow them and about a dozen seagulls to hell!. Thats what being a mine operator/owner means.

Hi, Prince Charles has mined under peoples homes before!. I do not know if many remember the "The Concord" tin mine which was owned by Charles as the 'Duchey' then owned and still ownes today everything it touches in Cornwall.
I was a supervisor at the mine when it was first put back into operation some years ago. In fact Charles came to visit once ( had to put on clean coveralls!!),. Well we did mine for tin at the mine, and were very good at it, with the direction of the 'great' "Jack Symons" and guys like 'Rodney Flamank', we did mine under peoples houses and drained a few wells,(opps!) There was a time once when I was on night shift, when I had a phone call at about 1:30am. The guy who lived just down the road asked if we had equipment working underground??, I told the guy that we had a drift heading under his property (about 360ft down) and that we had a crew working there right now!, The guy told me that it felt like we had a machine under his floor boards!!. I told him I would come to his place and have a listen. After arriving at the said house about 20mins later. I was led into this guys front room. and I can tell you!! I could not belive that I could hear a 'Eimco' front loader muck machine as clear as day!!, it was so clear it was not funny, I told the guy that I would go back to the mine and halt the work in the drift so that he could get some sleep!!. The next day we found that the ore vein ran right up under the house in the village close by, and acted like a tuneing fork!!, relaying the sound of equipment working under ground, we had to stop working nights in this area and only mined on day shift.
It happens!, and it did at Prince Charles, " Concord Mine"
