Hi Gang
I have been visiting Box and other mines in the area over the last few weeks but am frustrated by my inability to locate the "Picture Gallery" in Box.
I used to know it but have lost its location in the mists of time, it being a year or two since last down.
I am keen to re photograph this area.
I have the 'Free Trogs' books Scripta Legenda for which I am attempting to locate any copyright holder as I would like to digitalise them for upload to this site. It’s very likely that The Free Troglophile Association no longer exists but I need to ensure that I don’t tread on anyone’s toes.
Frustratingly there are pictures from the area that i am trying to locate on the back cover of Vol 1 but can I find the area inside, no. Possible that it was missed out for some reason, I don’t know.

No sorry, I am thinking maybe a lot of you are missing something here, its well worth seeing.
I had a faint suspicion that as it can be seen from a main roadway, on the left going out to Jacks, my route B12, Roman way, VS, Bridgegate Road, Black Horse, it may have been concealed so the daubers cannot see it.

If you are in Box and meet a scroat making odd gurgling noises and with an aerosol can stuck in his gob you will know I am in there somewhere.

As has been mentioned Roy, why not ask Chris (root) over on Darkplaces, he knows the place like no one else 😉

I will be around there tomorrow (15/1/2011) to miss the heavy rain forecast for Sunday. Planning BF first to photo MP, then into Box via Jacks for more photo fun

OK but never saw a soul. A lot of activity at Wansdike with lorries etc, filling in some slope shafts?

I have some photos to upload later, found the picture gallery, its that close to my usual route its a wonder I didn't fall over it.
Got some more good stuff in browns as well.
