Are you sure this isn't GILSON'S COVE - see my sketch plan under than name of the shafts there.

Hi Peter,
Yes the mine is above Gilson's Cove, but when I was doing a mine search on this site, I came across Roy's uploaded site. As it is mentioned as this in some literature ( e.g Mineralogical Magazine 1944) or Doyden Point Mine, it's a bit confusing. I'm happy to go with the consenus.

I can't recall where my identification came from, but I would think it was Hamilton-Jenkin. I can check if you like.

The writing on that map looks like Arthur Russells..... is the map pulled from the Nat Hist Museum at some stage I wonder??
