Geevor has a new website - same address - www.geevor.com
Loads of nice stuff and it is the first e-learning website set up by a UK mining museum

Thanks for that info Bill.
I remember standing next to the pumps at the bottom of Geevor on a visit about 2 days before they finally shut them down for good. Never expected then that the site would carry on being linked to mining, even as a museum. Houses were the expectation for it then.

went there two years ago, it was a bit spooky seeing a younger, fitter, hairier self on one of the photo boards. Anyone who was at CSM in the early 70s will see a few faces from the past... mainly in the pics of the sub-main. I remember that bloody grab as well, it belonged to Foraky and it's the same one that was subsequently at Pendarves. I had a similar one at Doe Lea, but it wasn't that one.

Very Good website with lots of good stuff about mining. I see you can drill down (excuse pun) several layers into the web page.
Only suggestion for improvement is something more on the Cafe? I thought it was quite a good cafe, especially the view and the cakes!.

Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
