I paid a visit to the Wheal Martyn Clay Museum today which came highly recommended. I have to say with some justification. It really is worth a visit but allow some time as I was correctly advised to do.

Anyway having finished the historical tour I decided on the slog up to the viewing platform where you can overlook a working pit, or two to be precise, Greensplatt and Wheal Martyn, as I have never seen a working clay works before. I finally made it although by this time I was on an intravenous drip and receiving oxygen, but even so the sight was really impressive and well worth the effort.

Now a slight problem. The DB entry is for Wheal Martyn Clay Mine. Do I post photos of the museum here or make a separate entry for the museum and post any photos of the working pit to the former. Might as well get this right now rather than later. 🙂
The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

Yes please :flowers:

Always worth checking something before hand. Something I need to do as well I know 😉 Like my incorrect chamber numbering on my last Croesor Rhosydd through trip photos 😞
my orders are to sit here and watch the world go by

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
