Found these pictures tonight that I took way back at the St.Austell Golf Club showing the re-use of Taylors Shaft for lifting water for use in keeping the greens green.
They have built a bridge thru Taylors engine house across the shaft and pump water directly out of the old mine into an old boiler from where it is used to irrigate the greens, they are still doing this today. Seems a good idea to me for re-using an old mine.
